OTers with daughters, what is the worst you've overreacted to something pertaining her?

My daughter is three and I've had some epic meltdowns in that short period.
1.) I cried all day on a Saturday while my wife was pregnant listening to Father Daughter
2.) When she got her ears pierced I had to leave the place because she was crying so badly. When it was over I just sat there and held her and I shed a tear or two myself.
3.) I had a knee-jerk reaction and hit our dog because it tackled her and it startled her. She cried out, "Daddy" and I turned around and swung.
4.) I roughed up my nephew because he made her cry while playing. I felt so bad for that one.
I love her more than anything and she's made me such a better person. I am eternally grateful.

I made a rug out of a boy who was sniffing around her.

My daughter is 16 right now so I don't consider them overreactions.

I have a son but no daughters. I don't overreact to much because it there isn't blood involved he will be alright. He did hit himself in the balls with one his toys the other day and I had to console him after that one. I think he learned a valuable lesson that day.

Your daughter got her ears pierced at 3?

You just triggered a lot of people

You seem like an unstable person. You should see a doctor and maybe get on some wellbutrin or something.
100% serious.

No daughters yet, but I've already plotted the fate of every boy who comes within three feet of her. I won't go into details but it involves a rusty hatchet and several pikes.

Dude you need to calm the frick down before she's a teenager
I can see the headline now "Tigerdropping's MontyFranklin kills teenage boy that held his daughter's hand"

Wife is still pregnant with her, but I talk to her about every night. When we had the 20 week ultrasound and the baby went from "it" to "she" tears were shed.
Don't really have a lot of people to talk about this with, but my wife getting pregnant was basically the happiest moment of my life.
shite, I'm tearing up now just thinking about it.

Considering your admitted physical attacks of other children and animals, maybe not.

Getting teary-eyed at weddings during father daughter dance is a big one for me.

Were you crying while beating the dog and nephew? I bet that was a wild scene

Probably shouldn't do stuff to your kid that makes her cry badly.

My dog snapped at my one year old, and I beat the everloving shite out of the dog, surprised it survived.
Luckily it got cancer and was euthanized not long after that.
Problem solved.
Point being the dog actually attacked my kid... different than just rough play or accidentally knock the kid down. Hell, everything in the house accidentally knocks him down. I can't go around beating everything up.
