My problem lies with being a recluse vs. having a social life and is it worth all the work to get back so little. How do you balance the social life with all this strict dieting and being a gym rat and what are you getting from being that extreme in return??

It's honestly the toughest part.

I say this as someone that loves a beer, but if you're not in college anymore, your social life probably shouldn't revolve solely around binge drinking. It's really not hard to get and stay in shape, and still have a few beers.

First month getting back into actual workouts will suck, especially the first week. Push through the pain and start the diet back and don't skip out on it. Healthy food is key. Keep your protein intake high and get lots of sleep. And don't forget to stretch.

You sir are doomed to be a lardass when you get to mid 30s if you put on that kind of weight in your 20s. Might as well hang it up now.

Gonna disagree with that. It's 100x easier to stay in shape once you're out of college. There were 20 other things I'd rather be doing in college than working out and eating healthy.

I'd rather be a recluse personally

Muscle memory is an amazing thing. Once you build it, it comes back quickly (size), but strength lags behind, which can be frustrating as shite--in my experience.
