Anyone take this? Pros? Cons? Starting to hear of it more and more but can't figure it out if it's beneficial.

How about you tell us what you are trying to achieve and let us steer you in the right direction?

But to answer the question, I take alcar a form of l carnitine every morning but it's for general health and brain function.

To get true fat burning effects from any form of l-carnitine you are going to have to mega dose or use an injectable version. Neither are really feasible or desired by most people.

if you use it, use L Carnitine L Tartrate. it's in a lot of 'cutting' pre workouts

I mix my own pre workout with ingredients I buy in bulk. L Carnitine L Tartrate in one ingredient I've been using for awhile. put it in my pre workout, intra workout, and post workout shakes. basically it helps metabolize fat in the mitochondria of the cell.

What do you buy in bulk? If you're making that stuff, it's gotta be way cheaper than buying the actual stuff already made in store, right? I'd love to see recipes if you feel like typing it all out.

I use it when trying to drop a few during the summer.will frick your stomach up if you aren't used to it.

I usually take about 100mg 3xday. Once when I wake, pre workout and post workout.

The only supplement you need is iron

Pick it up and put it back down again. Repeat

How does it mess up your stomach?

Is 300mg/day considered a lot for something like that?

Unless you are a competitive bodybuilder or fitness model, the minimal difference it would yield is not worth the financial investment.

There are plenty of more cost-effective ways to manipulate fat-burning or ramping up your metabolism.

300 mg isn't bad. And think like bad coffee shits as far as what it does to you. After you take it consistently you become accustomed to it though.

SAS is right though. The only reason I'd use it is if I'm trying to drop from like 7% to 5% for a show. The differences even a normally healthy looking person would see are minimal at best
