I am most proud of my time at Fort Bragg with USASOC, the US Army Special Operations Command.

Too bad I was only there for three years.

I myself was not what I'd call "great", but, during my time there, I was constantly in the midst of greatness, and, maybe it helped me achieve excellence.

Had a high school buddy that was a coastie stationed in Savannah while I was in the Navy. He'd get pissed when I gave him shite about being DOT not DOD.

You can give the Coasties all the shite you want but personally I've got nothing but mad respect for the Coast Guard Rescue Swimmers.

... especially the crews operating in the Bering Sea.

Worthless.

Reminds me of when I got to the Philly. I was an E-5 with fish and a fleet returnee. This nuke E-6 got there at the same time as me and had been one of those guys that went straight from school to instructor duty so he had no fish and no sea time.

We're checking in with the berthing PO and he tells us there's only 1 open rack and one of us is gonna have to hot rack. The nuke was like "I outrank him" and I was like

and pointed at the dolphins.
