When you stop being so selfish and actually reproduce and have a child then you can talk about parenting woes. My kids simply won't be doing 4 hours of homework.

That's too long for a nap. She'll wake up groggy as hell from it and will be sluggish right after waking up.

Do you even parent, bro?

I honestly don't remember doing homework one single time until I got to college. I was given assignments, but I was lazy and never did it. I always did well on tests and still had a good GPA despite always having an F in homework. I really don't see why homework before high school is all that necessary.

Yes because me making sure I don't carry the genes for some horrible childhood diseases before I get pregnant and possibly pass it onto a child is very selfish of me. I'm still doing a bunch of genetic testing/waiting for results

I'm not reading all this as I'm on my 30 minute lunch break, but tell your daughter not to be such a little shite in class. Then she'd get her work done there.

I hardly ever give homework unless it's remedial or very specific. And it should never take more than 15 minutes.

My kindergarten kid has homework every night. It baffles me, I really think it is stupid, most of it involves Common Core stuff which I support including the Eureka math component .. I think they are sending do much homes so the parents can learn not to have to use a paper and pencil for simple math

I was poor so I only was involved with Girl Scouts that age. That kept me busy enough though.

oh yeah, she does Brownies too

She's a kid, she has more energy than both you and I put together.

My son in the 5th grade is the same way....football, soccer, baseball, straight A's...but when he's done, he crashes. He can go from 100 MPH to acting like a old man

I get what you are saying, I also understand that you are nurse, but that seems like a bit much.

My brother, sister and father all suffer from the same genetic disorder. My brother and sister are severally mentally challenged from it, my father severally physically disfigured from it. In my situation...making sure I don't carry those same genes/have a very mild form of the same disorder is not being paranoid.
