Most dads talk to their kids about the mistakes they made growing up, hoping to help them avoid making the same mistakes.
However, what the kid hears is, "Dad did this. I can do it, too!"

While I think it's important you empathize with him since you remember what it was like being 12, I also think you need to talk to him about the different crazy shite that he might see online and how he needs to understand that it's not always the norm
While I had access to a penthouse and playboy, the shite online nowadays makes those look like Victoria secret catalogs.
He's maturing sexually right now and if he starts setting his expectations based on crazy shite there could be a concerning effect down the line
If you think I'm being ridiculous, consider that most pedofiles were themselves victims of pedofilia when they were in their sexually formative years. The things kids are exposed to in those years can become normal to them.
I'm definitely not saying your son is going to be a pedofile, but at some point when he's much older he's going to have to accept that "teen pussy" may no longer be an option and he shouldn't be obsessive about it.
But he should be comforted in knowing that most women of all ages don't need to shave their asses.
