You don't know about kids baseball games cause you're not a parent.

On occasion, not often, non-parents will make suggestions about parenting that reveals they have no idea what they are talking about. Most often, it involves detailed and complex activities that, if actually attempted, would take 25 hours per day to accomplish. Or involves suggestions that might work right now, but aren't good for the child's development.

Yeah, I have a cousin like that...she always puts on FB "revelations" that she has about parenting, and it's always the absolute most simple and obvious things. It's hilarious.

I don't know a damn thing about kirate because me or my kids have never done it. But, would you like my advice or opinion on it?

If you don't know these people why the hell are you even going? It's not like the one year old will remember it. Not reading all of the pages above so I'm sure it's been mentioned.

No, but because you can't spell it...not because your kid doesn't take karate.

I enjoy the ot and the buffet of opinions on here. However, sometimes people find themselves in unmarked territory. The players usually give good advice on getting strange. The Richies give good exaggerated advice on being rich. The losers give obvious loser advice. It's when these paths start to cross that things start to smell.

To be fair, I'd never suggest coming here looking for advice

I love reading the advice threads
They reinforce why I'd never ask for real advice here.

This place gives GREAT advice sometimes. shite, a lot of times. You just have to dig through the bullshite to find it usually.*

And GTTM, you have all but ruined both my day, as well as my love for Katie Cassidy. frick.

* ETA: it does depend sometimes on who asks it and how it is asked though.
