Division of fault. You knew you were injured. You don't follow medical advice. You put yourself in a situation they can be harmful. Now you want compensation?

So very early into our vacation, I sat in a swing that fell. Thankfully my legs weren't under it but a few days before I'd had injections into a part of my lower back. The Dr told me nothing strenuous for about the first week.

Why would you go on vacation after having injections?

My husband had to have epidural steroid injections into his back this past November. If we would have had a trip planned...we would have cancelled/postponed it so he could just rest at home some more.

Tough call. Most people will say you're sue happy, but if the landlord was negligent in keeping up the place then maybe he should pay some bills for you.

Suck it up and move on.

Mine was bad enough for surgery almost 20 years ago. I live with it especially when cold fronts come through.

The property owner is being more than fair, be grateful

I don't know what liability you assume when renting and what the homeowner does. Read over the terms before contacting a lawyer.

So, you're considering consulting with an attorney because you may have aggravated a previously documented condition that you very recently had treated with multiple injections?

Does that sum it up?

Back injuries seldom get better. If you are to the point of shots or surgery it is just a matter of when your next back injury occurs, not what.

As someone who has flare ups every couple years I don't dwell on what causes them.

It sucks it was on vacation and it sucks the swing failed. But what do you want to gain from suing? Repair to your already fricked up back or repayment of a vacation that everyone but you got to enjoy?

You were a grown adult on a swing?

Are you one of those people that should be at least 150ft away from places with swings?

Most people that own these vacation rental properties don't even live close. they have a property management company that keeps up with the rentals.

How would you feel if someone with a bad back came over to your house and sat on a chair and it broke and they sued you! Sounds kinda shitty doesn't it
