I have recently been looking at purchasing a small condo as rental property. Are there any reputable companies who will complete background checks on applicants along with other duties??

Condos are for suckers. Buy an inexpensive house near a university.

that's what I want to do. Around LSU you can charge $600+ per room in an old shitty house.

A condo will eat you alive with hidden costs.

If you come up to the resort, have a fast tour and small meeting, I'll give you a $40 prepaid Visa.

Can you be more specific on the hidden costs.

Investors buying flooded houses in Monroe on the cheap. Fix it up and rent it to college students.

Check the money board and biggerpockets.com.

I have a office condo that I rent out. I don't invest in residential properties.

Any quality management company would do that for you. Adam Campo Real Estate has great reviews.

I use Cozy for both of my rental properties.

Their services are free for you as the landlord (free ACH rent collection, credit card rent processing). They offer online screening tools (applicatins, background checks, credit reports) you can send to your tenants. Tenants pay for screening directly and you get the results.

It's been great so far and I've recommended it to 2 colleagues who use it commercially. I'm including my referral link below. If you sign up through the link, I get an Amazon gift card.

Let me know if you have any questions, good luck.
