Say what you want about the piano. But Adele did not sing well tonight. She was all over the place. Piano or no piana, she a professional and had an off moment.

I think it had everything to do with the piano and sound issues. She was very visibly shaken.

Whats funny is that kendrick isn't overtly political. He has his opinions on the way the world is and he puts it into his music but he isn't preachy. He doesn't tell you how he feels the world should be. He just tells how he thinks it is. Really the only song that could come across as preachy was blacker the berry and in it, he blasts the BLM movement. Hw describes it pretty well from ab-souls outro on section.80

quote:

See I spent twenty-three years on this earth searching for answers
till one day I realised I had to come up with my own
I'm not on the outside looking in, I'm not on inside looking out
I'm in the dead fricking centre looking around
You ever seen a newborn baby kill a grown man?
That's an analogy for the way the world make me react
My innocence been dead
So the next time I talk about money, hoes, clothes, God and history
all in the same sentence
just know I meant it, and you felt it
cause you too are searching for answers
I'm not the next pop star, I'm not the next socially aware rapper
I am a human motherfricking being over dope arse instrumentation

Agreed. It's the worst I've ever heard her sing.

I promise there's not a bigger Adele fan on TD than me, but I would not have said that if it weren't true.

Even with sound issues, she still sounds better than anyone in that room
Also, I much prefer her deeper soulful voice over those awkward high notes.

Tonight was far from the first time Adele sang off key live. She has a very powerful voice but she tries too hard to be powerful instead of soulful and hits a lot of bad notes.

I'll admit that rap is not my preference, but I did appreciate the production. Hell, I cut my teeth on '70s "big rock" and it's stage shows. That said, it is possible for the message to get lost in the show.

I had no idea - I don't pay any attention to The Biebs.
