I have Graves Disease and have had three weeks of a very dry and inflamed left eye (see picture). The area below the eyelid is very swollen. I went to the optician who prescribed prednisone drops, antihistamine drops, and told me to use Systane. The eye has shown no improvement. The "red blob" is less red but the same size.

Today, tears (or fluid) started running out of the outside side (the blob side) of the eye. I have an opthamologist appointment on Monday but I am wondering whether I should be concerned that the eye is now streaming tears.

I am having very severe headaches that increase as the day goes by. Any suggestions?

ETA: The last few days, the area behind the eye has had some pain issues.

Go see a real eye doctor and not the OT eye doctors.

If I had a clitoris growing in my eye I’d call 911 and ask them to send an ambulance

I have an appointment Monday. I'm just trying to see if the tearing indicates an infection (though the fluid is clear). It sometimes acts as if it is in the sinus somehow.

Only reason I ask, my thyroid goes graves, but they suspect I have PsA. Eye problems are an issue with it.
