OT docs, is it ominous when they move your appointment to the head of the line ?

A guy in my office had a CT scan today for a swelling in his neck. They found a mass and have him set up with a specialist for in the morning.

Depends on what kind of appointment.
If it's for a prostate exam then it may just mean the Dr is sweet on you.

Expect a biopsy. Don't worry prematurely.

He's fricked.
Doesn't sound good. It's not swelling, it's the mass growing.
He gone

A long time ago, when I was a drug rep, I was calling on a General Surgeon on North Blvd in Baton Rouge.
I was patiently waiting for the Dr to see me when an older gentleman walked in with his wife and signed the check in list. I watched as he gingerly lowered himself onto one of the waiting room chairs. It looked to me, like he was trying to find a comfortable spot to sit on a bed of hot coals.
As soon as he got as comfortable as he could, the Dr came out and called him back. It was like 30 seconds before I saw the Dr head poke out of the waiting room door, telling his nurse to call ahead to the ER and get ready to receive the patient.
I'll always wonder what the hell that dude had that got people moving so fast.

When they did that to me, they ended up cracking my ribs and scooping out 40 percent of my lung.
