Orleans Sheriff refusing to discuss looting arrest numbers
quote:
Orleans Parish Sheriff Marlin Gusman said Thursday morning that about 40 people had been arrested for looting
Looks like he did discuss it

quote:

NOPD Superintendent Shaun Ferguson has refused to discuss the number of looting arrests

The city won't discuss, but because the parish and the Sheriff runs the parish prison, NOPD can't exactly hide the arrest numbers from the Sheriff.

And the Sheriff doesn't mind talking.

ETA: I see it now. The threads subject is wrong.

By "community cooperation", she means that if you point a gun at Target employees, they will cooperate and give you a flat screen..... It's complete harmony....

NOPD Superintendent Shaun Ferguson has refused to discuss the number of looting arrests in New Orleans, saying that doing so would present a "false narrative."

How does any reporter worth a damn not respond with the follow up:

"If looters aren't a problem, what's the number? Give us the 'true narrative,' Shaun."
