California has seemed ahead of this from the beginning.

Philadelphia county reported 350 new cases yesterday, with a population of only 1.5 million. Down from 500 on Saturday. My county reported 50 new cases, down from 90 on Saturday.

The one worry is that maybe people aren't reporting because of Easter? Don't know how the holiday affected reporting.

Wow. What an astute contribution to this thread you've made.

There is no winning with some people. Parts of California got ahead of this, and has been on lockdown for 4 weeks.

When a state responds with safety measures and flattens the curve, you use the numbers as proof that the virus is a hoax.

It is almost as if you want a higher death toll to justify the safety measures. But a lower death toll IS the justification for safety measures.

Jefferson County, Alabama had an additional 18 confirmed positives today, same number as yesterday. Don't know how many tests that represents. At a press conference today, UAB put their number of Covid inpatients in the 30s. Our hospitals aren't going to be overwhelmed, and I'll go out on a limb to predict that Alabama won't have more than 5,500 dead by the end of April as predicted by the UW model.
