Most evangelists seem like frauds or hypocrites in my opinion. Billy Graham actually seemed legit and appeared to practice what he preached.
I have always been suspicious of preachers who run around in $1000 suits. Nobody ever got rich by becoming a Catholic priest.
With that said, I believe Reverend Graham was sincere and brought many people to Christ.

It's so funny how you wingnuts will defend moralizing hypocrites like Graham, just so long as you agree with their politics.

The basic tenet of Christianity is John 3:16.
Basically, if you are not a Christian, you are going to Hell. So, kiss your Jewish friends goodbye.
The Indian computer guy at work? Hell. The nice Asian lady at the laundromat? Hell. The hot Russian immigrant? Hell.
As was said by Napoleon “Religion is what keeps the poor from murdering the rich.”
Keep singing the songs. Putting money in the till. Feeling good about yourself as you blow by the beggars in your SUV as your wife bitches and kids watch movies on the way to Sunday brunch after church.
You are under control.
Think about it. All these religious guys from Popes to Graham all met with Kings and Presidents. Why? It’s all about controlling the masses.
It started with Constantine in 306 AD and continues until today.

I guess you think Napoleon was wrong?
Napoleon rose from the House of Bourbon, the Bourbon Dynasty from which the modern conservative movement in the US gets its name and roots.
Coincidence?

quote:
They're the ones putting out the pornographic stuff,'' Graham had said to Nixon. The Jewish ''stranglehold has got to be broken or the country's going down the drain,'' he continued
'I go and I keep friends with Mr. Rosenthal (A.M. Rosenthal) at The New York Times and people of that sort, you know. And all -- I mean, not all the Jews, but a lot of the Jews are great friends of mine, they swarm around me and are friendly to me because they know that I'm friendly with Israel. But they don't know how I really feel about what they are doing to this country. And I have no power, no way to handle them, but I would stand up if under proper circumstances
Surely he said much worse than all that. Is there more, b/c I didn’t read anything bad in there
