The original Star Wars trilogy is overrated. The acting sucks, the story is so-so, and the PowerPoint style scene transitions are fricking lame.
Also it wasn't as innovative as everyone likes to believe. 2001: A Space Odyssey was filmed 9 years before A New Hope. And Alien was filming at the same time as The Empire Strikes Back.
Star Wars is mainly popular because the characters are extremely memorable.

I think this applies to football more than anything. The FBS is made up of 10 conferences (plus four independent teams) with a total of 129 teams. Five of those conferences are considered "major conferences". Any given year, there are maybe 2 or 3 teams in the other conferences that might end up having a chance to have a chance to make it to a major bowl (I would be surprised if we see one of these teams make the playoff anything soon).
There are about 40 programs that actually make money... And they make a lot of it.. CFB is million dollar (maybe a billion dollar industry) in which the "main characters" are not paid their worth... Anyway, it needs to be separated from the universities. As much as I like CFB & basketball.. I understand what you mean.

WHOA... So you re saying College players should get paid???
You realize that in A sense they do.. A FREE EDUCATION...... Maybe any player that leaves early should pay back what they were given....
