There's an internet meme that a "boomer" is basically anyone older than Gen Z.

And to the OP, yes I remember AIM...Direct Connection

I'm not a Boomer and we didn't even have the internet until I was a freshman in college.

Not necessarily, some say Gen x starts in 1960...

I was born in ‘63 and the furthest thing from a boomer.. Graduated HS in ‘82, and my dad was 9 when the war ended...

I'm 31 and if you weren't on AIM in Middle school you didn't have much of a "social life." This was just before everyone had cell phones and definitely before texting took off. Then came myspace which led to facebook.

**reminds me of that yellow and black motorola cell that had the walkie talkie function. Now THAT was a big deal at the time.

I guess it was nextel. How many times did you see this commercial?

I had a third party app called DeadAim that let you keep logs of all your conversations. I used AIM daily and have about 5-6 years of conversations. It's pretty awesome. I can go back in time and read conversations that all happened in a day and it's like using a time machine.

Well my dad is the epitome of a baby boomer as he was born in 1943, 9.5 months after my grandfather returned from India. He wouldn’t know what the hell that is.
