Come on. Nobody is comparing the two, and it’s apples and pomegranates.

Also don’t really see how a cool story about finding a long lost military helmet has anything at all to do with fricking covid.

I'm not against wearing a mask. I actually do believe they help indoors.

I'm against people with power using the same tactics that were used to mandate masks to mandate other things. I'll wear a mask if I need to go in somewhere. I'm not wearing them outdoors on the sidewalk or in a park. But thinking how quickly people adopted it without thinking twice makes me nervous. It's 90 degrees in boise and people all over downtown, around absolutely nobody, are wearing masks. Why? Because they were told they were mandatory outside and the law is the law. That scares me.

People wearing masks in their cars, alone, and people wearing masks outdoors, alone, are great examples of the ridiculous amount of misinformation floating around. It’s stupid, yet the ‘experts’ make no effort of curb that kind of stupidity. In fact, they encourage it.

when you're "serving," you signed up for it(in recent decades) and you're property of the US government.

I am not. I own myself.

outside of any military obligations, you own yourself. that you can go and frick.

Yeah, this bothers me. I really don't think people are stupid. Obviously there are stupid people, but I think it has a lot more to do with people's temperament. They don't see masks as that big of a deal, which I actually don't think they are either, and they don't know the specifics and see it as more of a nuisance to figure it out than risk getting in trouble. It's just that apathy like that leads to apathy with other shite.

And it doesn't seem to bother people that the government lied to us about masks to start this whole thing. Which blows my mind. They lied to us like children and then admitted it. And people dismiss as it as them acting in our best interest without understanding that they have a duty to be truthful to the population because they are the population. That kind of deception points to the fact that they (Fauci and other public health officials) feel as though they are above reproach and see the general population as less than. And regardless of the validity of that thought, that isn't how this shite is supposed to work.

I am sorry, but I don't trust anyone on the federal level, public health officials included. They lied to our faces yet they still maintained credibility. IMO, because there is one large swath of the U.S. population that acts high and mighty and thinks the other swath are children who need to be lied to, not realizing the entire time that they are playing right into the hand of those who hold power.
