Trucking industry's problems are completely self inflicted.
Once they find their checkbooks, it will straighten out.

No, they are government inflicted.

Obama and his incompetent band of stooges went ape shite (no pun intended) with regulations.

Trump really did a number on the trucking industry leaving bad regulations in place. Probably plans on bringing a Russian company in to replace American.

Holy shite.

Yeah, if you're fortunate enough to build your business around where rail spurs are located, that solves a lot of your logistics problems.

Orders for class 8 trucks are down drastically and the used truck market is extremely saturated with higher inventories across the country. There are more trucks than freight right now, causing freight rates to drop....causing more competition, causing a record number of trucking company bankruptcies.

There you have it, folks. Proof that we seriously need Civics and IQ tests before allowing these shite stains in a voting booth.

True - but in our case, all of our distribution centers that I manage the freight for are rail-served, so there is no need for using origin reloads

Forgive my stupid question - can you load a sea can straight onto rail? Is there a rail car chassis like you have for tractor trailers?

I've never paid enough attention to notice.

Yep.
Well managed outfits will survive and prosper.
Poorly run will go tits up.
Cost to move freight will go up.
And the world will turn.

Right here is the hardest fricking the trucking industry took in many years.

Thanks Obama and Company.

Electronic Logging Devices

These things cost trucking companies a fortune and have a hard negative ROI.

If they are so bad why did Trump and company keep them in place? After all they had the presidency, the Senate, and house.

One blames Trump the other blames Obama. This always makes me laugh because people always blame the politicians that are on the other side of their views.

I found this article.

LINK

quote:

was weighed down by costs related to an alleged fraud scheme among former executives

Did any president make former executives commit fraud? Sometimes shite fails because of poor management.

But.. It also states.

quote:

Trade tariffs, as well as slowdowns in a variety of markets, including housing and auto, contributed to the drop, Broughton had told FOX Business. He predicted companies would continue to fail into 2020 because of the weak pricing environment.

What president is responsible for tariffs?

So with a quick search I found out that its not as simple as blaming one president. There are factors that doesn't even involve government that has helped create this problem. But the government does play some role in this. That being tariffs.

Thank you for showing your complete and total ignorance of how government regulation works.

It takes years to implement these regulations. It takes years to rescind them.

By the time President Trump leaves office in 2025. Most should be history.
