For argument's sake, when you factor in everything, here are the biggest five upsets in sports history.

1. Miracle on Ice
2. Super Bowl III
3. 8 seed Villanova winning '85 NCAA Basketball Tournament (Villanova shot 90 percent in the second half!)
4. The horse "Upset" giving Man O War his only loss at 100-1 odds (where the term Upset come from)
5. NC State beating Houston in '83 NCAA Championship

Maybe Douglas over Tyson is up there when you consider how good Tyson was at the time. Chaminade beating No. 1 Virginia in college hoops was big too.

Actually, it was a 17. Rodman witnessed it and swears by it.

Jesus wanted to give all Americans something to celebrate the escape from my mom's vagina on 2/21.

I think he knocked it out of the park.

You'll trip up most folks if you ask them who the US beat in 1980 to win the gold medal in hockey.

Happy birthday. It must be neat getting to celebrate on the anniversary of a sporting event that might have happened.

I was watching it on a Sunday on a tv in our church. Twelve years old. I still get chills hearing Al Michaels call it. The Olympics were a much bigger deal to Americans back then due to the cold war. The whole country rallied around it. It was a harbinger of Reagan's election that fall.
