Did my daily check on Bayou Fountain on my property.
Came in on Tuesday at a peak of 7 feet in, about 50 feet wide.
As of now, can't see it on my side anymore.
Have to look in the woods to see it
Really need this this to drop more than .02 an hour
Saw that invest 99L and I'm not liking it

Le Maison De Bella (reception center on the corner of Alligator Bayou & Bluff) is setting up an aquaduct system. The facility probably already has ~3' of water completely around it.

Dude, you've been watching this thing from afar. I've told u repeatedly. OA was never in trouble. NEVER. Everybody has been on your arse for questioning every little thing said on here but I kept quiet. Now u pissing me off. You were told the elevations of the houses & the entrances. Everything in oak alley is 6-7 higher than the current water level. WE'RE not in fricking danger! The only time my ears ever even perked up was when there was concern over the road washing out because I didn't know what the consequences of that would be. Neither did anybody else. All we knew was thath it was bad. And I kept a watchful eye on exit routes becoming impassable which would have taken DAYS at the rate it was rising.
I started spreading sand in low spots in my yard today. Guess I'm ballsy

Lol
Great news
I've been away from the web. That rain didn't do anything?

I have lots of family/friends who got flooded and we're stripping houses. Other family are still holding tough behind their sandbags. All are safe.
ETA: don't think I'm a dick if you can help it, but I don't remember who you are or where you're from. Did we ever meet IRL?
Smelly, the rain didn't make a measurable difference. Keep in mind, they're measuring with a tape measure.

I thought you were going to say they were measuring with a stick! :)

When this started there were a lot of transits and range poles involved. We sure thought we knew it all.

I've been following this fascinating thread since it originated. Can't tell you how many times I've looked at google maps and used street view to figure out the locations that have been referred to in it. My prayers are with you as you struggle against the water.

Inches or feet?
You really don't have to use that tone with me.

Yards.
Oak Alley is 21 feet higher than ridge road 1 mile away.

How are they judging this 2 foot difference? With the sane gauges we're watching? If so, Which one of the AB gauges? Sorry been outta pocket for a bit

Dude, I live in OA and I haven't given a frick about it in 36-48 hours. This is all about the ridge and the houses on bluff now.
Before this, I had driven down Ridge Rd one time cause I was curious how far it went back. Now, I'm even calling it "the ridge" lol

2' is an arbitrary number that someone pulled out of their arse.
It'll be a good long time before manchac is 2' lower than bluff swamp.
