Except the pilots didn't have the tools and the understanding to know how to act, when they were needed.

Is the the fault of the pilots? The airline? Boeing? Probably, all of the above.

This plane is gonna end up on the ground for most of a year, if not longer. This isn't some recall issue. That's a major problem.
