They changed the name of their Christmas celebration to Hotty Toddy Holidays because it was to "Christian."

Good. Christians are annoying and Baby Jesus wasn't even born in December.

Meh. Can't really say I have an issue with this. If they want the event to be welcome to the entire student body, it makes sense.

As a public school, there really isn't much that can said in defense of keeping it named "Christmas."

I'm amazed the OT even thinks Jesus could have been good at his job considering he had a beard and wore flip flops everywhere. Lazy TPOS for not shaving.

If we are getting rid of Christmas, when do they stop giving us days off from work?
What's the point of evening having a holiday. What is the celebration for?

I don't get the outrage? The press release and event info released by Ole Miss has Christmas in it and a gospel choir preforming.

Thanks for posting.

Some excerpts.

quote:

The fun begins at 6 p.m. on the Circle in front of the Lyceum for the annual lighting of the university Christmas tree.

quote:

The Ole Miss Gospel Choir and Carol Coker, Miss University 2016, will provide festive music for the event.

Everyone just relax.
