It's weird, back in 2014 I was struck by this urge to visit a stadium that had been gone since 1980 so I learned Blender and called the Tulane library and just went from there. Glad you liked.
Was Yulman the inspiration?
They should do sugar cane etchings at the entrances of Yulman.
They should also have left part of the facade up. Same way Philly should have left the cupola when they tore down Shibe Park.

OMG thats what the facade is.. Sugar cane.. Even after modeling it, I never realized that..
Actually being from LA and having the Saints and football such a big deal, I was drawn to old games as I got older. After watching Super Bowl IV and IX, I found it fascinating that such a huge place and a part of New Orleans and sports history was just lost to time.. I figured someone should bring it back and looked around and realized if I wanted it I would need to do it.. lol.

I am a child of the 70s so I attended some games there but not many. I didn't think i would remember much but as soon as I saw the ramps leading up to the sections that woke up some memories.
Me and some friends tried to sneak in a few times to play some football on the field but never got in.
I used to ride my bike around it to get to the track behind the stadium. I would grab some berries from the trees outside. I think they were mulberry.
Fantastic work you did. Real nice.

Great that it helped bring back the old memories. You remember how it was fenced off and what you tried to get past? the things I see is the Tulane facility people loved barbed wire. lol. You remember anything on the outside like signage?

Well hell, man. You were at the source. Not sure why but the state archives are at Tulane. Our client had to go there to scan the 400+ pages of construction documents for the state capitol.

They were really helpful.. They have all the plan info for the north and south expansions. The east and west was a lot of guess work and studying photos. The good thing is that the dimensions on the north and south matched the east and west. I would love to find those 1926 plans but not luck so far. They still had a lot of documents I didn't get scanned.. So I might get those next.

And the two mummies under the bleachers

Oh my goodness. Thanks so much for bringing back distant memories to present imaging.
Daddy was an LSU grad. I grew up in New Orleans and they'd have me going to Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge. If LSU played at night and Tulane in the day (or vice-versa) we'd go to both.
Numerous Saints game memories there, too.
Wow!
Even the Falstaff sign is a sweet touch (but that's not the old logo). Daddy would put down the occasional Falstaff.

If I had any say in the matter, Tulane Stadium would still be standing and that monstrosity Superdome never built.
Football should be played outside in the open air and on natural grass! If the "fans" can't put up with that, let them stay home.
Tulane Stadium was a wonderful, historic stadium. If Green Bay can play in ancient Lambeau Field, why couldn't the Saints have played in Tulane Stadium?
p.s. I know Tulane Stadium had artificial turf in its last years, but that could have been changed.

Why did they tear down Tulane Stadium? I get the Saints needed a stadium, but Tulane?

I too miss watching games played in the grass and a little dirt

AMAZING WORK!!!
So good, in fact, I'm going to admit something. I went to Tulane for undergraduate and was there the year we made the move to the Dome. (Don't judge!
) Only thing missing would be some empty gallon milk jugs on the stadium floor (they used to let us bring in gallon jugs of "juice" before some idiots started throwing them off the top level of the Dome and they banned the practice).
Seriously, great work. I went through an old yearbook and scanned a few photos of the stadium.

If you do Facebook, there's this page: Tulane Stadium. Some great comments!
