The owners of the driving range were drawn to the many golf-loving murderers of Gert Town.

Invest in the property for the future. How to avoid taxes on a large business with many rentable square feet?

Put up a lesser building, that's mostly space, that will earn money and keep the business zoning for the property.

So it’s the McDowells of Top Golf?

Not good for Top Golf in BR. Top Golf was probably betting on a lot of customers, especially bachelor parties, to make the drive from Nola to BR. Now that Drive Shack is in the mix, who from Nola is going to make the drive to BR to play Top Golf? I give TG 5 years before closing its doors. The demographics don’t support it.

That old tower sign with the words "Times-Picayoune" spinning around the top was a neat thing for a country kid to see when arriving into the big city.

I hope its replacement will be something else cool for kids to see. Sounds like it will be.

If it's like Topgolf its a bar where you hit golf balls not a driving range

Yes. A business that does years of market research before opening a location and that has never failed anywhere will fail in BR because it was banking on the NOLA bachelor party crowd.

And, put it in the hood.

This is not a knock on nola, this is actually a good thing. That area can bow improve instead of going to shite.

I applaud this for nola, and as said, br will lose top golf because it will lose money within 5 years.

Baton Rouge ain't big enough for Top Golf anyway. NOLA barely is
