She's using Meth to go up and the Heroin to bring her down. Arresting her did her a huge favor so maybe she can clean up and get treatment.

I saw a drug show on TV about Silicon Valley and all the programmers who use Coke to work more effectively. All the dealers make deliveries to the tech firms around the clock.
Probably no different than A Jam band getting stoned and writing music. Although it would assume you have to take a break every couple weeks or so.
