Unfortunately, you'll be hard pressed to find something entry level in home construction that would offer healthcare. At the same time, if that's something you are serious about, it's like I tell anybody trying to find themselves. Just find something to get you started in the direction you think you want to go and you'll see an angle or crease you can use to your benefit.
Where are you and what are you good at that makes you want to pursue home construction?

about welders making 20 bucks an hour or some shite.
Yea LOL at welders only getting $20. Laborers in LC were getting $12 an hour before the recent work spike started. It's hard to find help in LC right now. My Realtor friend called me yesterday to help her on two flips because there is no one even doing remodeling right now. Everyone is either working on the new projects or building specs to keep up with the boom.

How do you have $88k in undergrad student loans?
My dad got laid off the start of my second semester so my parents couldn't help. I originally borrowed $84k. I've already paid off $19k, but interest rates are killer. Total paid plus current owed is now at $108.

At this point sir, I'd spit shine a fat chick out there
But in all seriousness, I have mostly warehouse experience, but can operate machinery such as bobcats, forklifts, etc.. Good with tools, like to build things...
I also have experience in machinist work, instrument fitting, and boilermaker experience..

I wasn't saying anything bad about them. I was saying $20 an hour would be laughable for welder pay. They make serious bank and there is a shortage of ones that can do everything Bush listed.

No sir. I negotiated a couple years off with pay while building my home on these 70 acres in Lamar County MS while building my house and I only have to consult via teleconference once a week.

They called it?
Where did I say I was glad people are getting laid off? Link?
You seem mad. Wanna talk about it?

I haven't seen a 7thward in 2 months and I love it up here.

Yea I can't complain he is retired now and did get certification for everything. I worked under him for a few summers in college and it was hard work. So I feel he earned every dollar. I am biased even though his "trade" could be taught to anyone and everyone if they were dedicated and needed a job.

Long story short, I eventually want to get into flipping houses... I honestly have a passion for seeing a quality, finished product.. Ideally, id like to work for/with someone who does it already and get my feet wet... I'm actually meeting with a guy Monday to see what exactly I need to do to get a general contractor's license..
Big dreams, I know

I disagree. You have to be pretty meticulous to do weld what some of those guys do. My brother was a welder for a long time before he got on as an operator. I don't have the patience he has to weld as good as he can.
