"When you get a little too much to drink, why not ride a horse?" he told reporter Brett Buffington, "It's safer that way. The horse knows the way home." Williams eventually got the message, had a family member pick up him and his horse and said he won't do it again.

Sensational journalism at it's finest.

That was creative and hey he wasn't driving drunk.
I think the real winner is the horse.

Does the reporter live in the area with a cameraman as his next door neighbor? How in the hell did he get out there so fast?

Ok. Why would someone call the cops on a person riding his horse on the side of the road? Unless he was blocking the hwy I don't see the problem. Also why did the dumbass cop issue him a ticket? I think because of the complaint the cop felt obligated to write a ticket. I gotta say this is first rate bullshite.

Watch the show Nightcrawler.
As for the story, WTF, was he riding the horse down the middle of 16? Drunk in public os a BS ticket in Louisiana. He didn't appear to be obnoxiously drunk. Leave the cowpoke be.
