First, debris was discovered on the floor. Then, recording devices were found secreted in ceilings and closets. Eventually, heads rolled. And, not surprisingly, lawsuits followed.
**
But while attorney Gary Iscoe — the Iscoe of the decades-old Steinger, Iscoe & Greene personal injury law firm — is gone and two other associates have been fired, the strange goings-on remain shrouded in mystery.
**
When the firm’s finance director found drywall debris on the floor of her office when she came to work on Sept. 10, she asked a maintenance man to pop up a ceiling tile, according to West Palm Beach police who were summoned to investigate two days later. There, hidden in the recesses of the ceiling, the finance director and others discovered wires that were linked to an audio receiver, police said.

As part of the investigation, police said they found wires running to cameras, microphones and recording equipment mainly in the firm’s finance, marketing and human resources departments.

Some of the wires had been cut and a video recording device was missing. Pike said it appears whoever installed the devices hurriedly removed the digital recorder once they realized police had been called.

Chaos? What chaos?

Do they represent important people?

Why is this a big deal?

That's why you use a file box for your video setup, with very sensitive mics for audio. If it is found, you just lose your equipment and move on.

They represented the family of the person who died in a car crash involving Venus Williams a few years back in a lawsuit.

And apparently this isn't the first allegations of shady business against them

LINK from 2014

quote:

A well-known personal injury law firm is being accused by a former employee of sending its clients to unscrupulous doctors who conduct unnecessary and expensive tests to spur insurance companies to pay up.

Once nervous insurers agree to settle the artificially inflated claims, attorneys at Steinger, Iscoe & Greene lie to the same medical professionals by understating the amount of the settlements so the law firm can pocket more profits.

The elaborate — and clearly illegal — scheme is outlined in a federal whistleblower lawsuit filed last month by former Steinger attorney Hilary Chulock.

So, they're just like 90% of personal injury firms in this country.

Or just like 2 sentences that show something chaotic actually happened.

But now I read it and it appears it wasn't really chaos.

A decades old law firm breaking up, named partner leaving quietly with payoff and conf agreement, people fired and filing lawsuits alleging all kinds of illegal acts by the firm, spy equipment of unknown origin, etc. That’s not chaotic?

Ya know, nobody likes a contrarian.
