So the simulator data was erased?

Agree, because he was on after Kelley and I left it on for a few min and he is sitting there arguing with his "Expert" guest... Way out of his element.

Most accepted? Pilots took plane and crashed it into the ocean. Post any other theory and that know nothing trout guy will
you.

how at this point could anyone still believe this was an accident?

What is the most accepted theory at this point?
Bottom of Indian Ocean due to mechanical failure or pilot suicide. I have seen more and more pilots saying they believe some type of mechanical failure.

A lot of people want to believe the fire theory. It's been shared a lot on Facebook the last few days.

One thing I will say, if it was a suicide, people need to quit applying logic to his actions.
Someone who is suicidal is someone who is the antithesis of logical. He might ave just gone nuts. Happens to normal people everyday in this world.

The easiest explanation is its at the bottom of the ocean somewhere... However, if the "data" that has been rolling out is accurate, there is no way this was anything but a planned hijacking.
I don't think there is anyway this was simply a airline disaster.

So both pilots wanted to kill themselves at the same time?
Let's say they did want to off'd themselves, why do it in the ocean? Why not turn around and knock down those tall building in Malaysia?
Killing yourself and possibly leaving no evidence isn't normal....IMO (I get the point about illogical & suicide)

Did they ever explain the cell phones connecting?
Posted on 3/19/14 at 8:51 am to Lsut81
Every pilot I seen interviewed said they doubt it was an accident based on contact, transponder function and communication.
Saw one yesterday that said in a fire no where on his checklist was turning off coms or transponder.

You still going with the Maldives theory moron?
Posted on 3/19/14 at 8:53 am to Wtodd
Same exact thing I mentioned to my brother yesterday. If he was pissed at Malaysia, and wanted to die, why not turn the plane into Petronas? The symbol of that nation..
Why just go into the drink?
I think he wanted to go somewhere with the plane.

3 Possibilities
1. Mechanical Malfunction - 20%
2. Pilot Suicide - 60%
3. Hijacking - 20%
*** Either way the plane was >80% taken off its course on purpose.

The most damning is the timeline leading up to the cutoff..
Transponder Goes Off
Turn Programmed into the system
"Good Night"
Turn takes place
12m separate programming and actual turn.

Just one did and killed the other pilot. Maybe he wanted to kill himself with the plane and leave a huge mystery in his wake? Maybe he was mad at all the happy people on the plane for not recognizing the evil in the world that he recognizes?
Suicidal people are just off their rocker. Either temporarily or permanently. They go against our innate instincts to stay alive at all costs.
Not saying I think this is what happened, but people shouldn't rule it out because its an "illogical way to kill yourself".
What about mass murder suicides that happen everyday and sometimes from unsuspecting people?
I still think it was plane malfunction of some sort and its on the bottom of the ocean and won't be found for a long time.
Hope I'm wrong.

Topwater Trout, humor me for a moment -
Let's assume the plane is found in Pakistan; what are the ramifications?
Does this instantly become the most bizarre global news story of all time, if it isn't already?

At least I'm posting theories and avionics info. How many smilies you posted in this thread? 200?
What pilots are on tv saying they believe the malfunction theory? Because I did not see but two mention they think it was plausible but still strange due to timing and coms.
