I have six single socks, still looking for their mates. They're around somewhere. I don't suspect foul play, but the search was called off months ago. I know they'll turn up soon.

These ideas of heading towards the Middle East for some reason is based off of?

It's not that atypical with socks. They'll more than likely come back. But if this jet comes back, it's going to be really, really weird.

They invite a few Asians in for some fun. One thing leads to another and the pilots are into asphyxiation...get choked out and the Asian women try to fly...we all know they can't drive.

Wish they had some sort of lead. If indeed it did crash tho and sunk to the ocean floor like one poster said debris would be floating around. Also, by now its long gone at the bottom.

CNN had a really interesting interview with a 777 pilot this morning.
Summary:
- the 777 has redundancy built into every critical system - sometimes as much as 8 layers of redundancy
- he has never heard of a complete electrical failure in a modern aircraft
- the 777 was designed specifically for long flights "in the middle of nowhere" - hence the redundancy
- the pilot essentially concluded that the flight was either hijacked or commandeered (though that was not his exact wording).
Another interesting twist in the story (probably Germans in this thread) is that Malayshia has not searched the homes of the pilots for some unknown reason.

I had to turn CNN off this morning because they were reaching SO hard on the pilot saying "good night" to the one air traffic control because he was saying bye to them and about to switch to the other air traffic control?
