Flight MH370: Vietnam says it already checked where satellite images show possible debris.
KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia -- The area where Chinese satellite images show what might be debris from the missing Malaysian jetliner has been thoroughly searched in recent days, Vietnam said Thursday as Malaysia urged caution over the findings.
The hunt for the Boeing 777 has been punctuated by false leads since it disappeared with 239 people aboard just hours after leaving Kuala Lumpur for Beijing early Saturday. The plane was heading east over the South China Sea when it disappeared, but authorities believe it may have turned back and headed into the upper reaches of the Strait and Malacca or beyond.
The Chinese sighting of possible debris is not far from where the last confirmed position of the plane was in between Malaysia and Vietnam. The images and co-ordinates were posted on the website of China's State Administration of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defence.

Pham Quy Tieu, deputy transport minister, told The Associated Press that the area had been "searched thoroughly" by forces from other countries over the past few days. Doan Huu Gia, chief of air search and rescue co-ordinationcentre, said Malaysian and Singaporean aircraft were scheduled to visit area again Thursday.

Ok, so back to the cloaking & hijack theory?
Chances the Russians are behind this?
Malaysia needs to get their shite together.

How does a 777 just completely disappear without a trace? Surreal and mind boggling. I can't imagine the frustration of those families at this shitshow.

It's a pay article so there's no point in me linking it but the Wall Street Journal is citing two "experts" who are claiming MH370 flew on for over 5 hours after disappearing from radar.
This is a new article that was published just 10 minutes ago FWIW.

How do they claim to know this? Have to pay to find out I guess?
Posted on 3/12/14 at 11:43 pm to RollTide1987
can you at lease quote some of it?
Are you saying it flew longer before disappearing from radar? That doesnt make sense. That would put it somewhere over Vietnam, China or in the S. China Sea.
eta: give us your password to NYT

Don't link it. It doesn't suprise me based on reports of 7.5 hours of fuel left. If it says 5 where could it have gone another 2 hours?

well shite, hope all those people out there looking for this plane pays for this story so we can put an end to this.

They have no clue just like the rest of us. This story is becoming a money maker/hits on a website to generate views and money. It's only going to get worse.
First one to guess right wins.

Completely agree.
Forego your country boundaries and just tell people what you know already.
Somebody has to have seen something. If it crashed, some passing ship or fishermen, someone on oil platforms, etc, would've seen debris. If it landed somewhere, someone would've obviously seen it.
These families have gone through more pain in the last 5 days than anyone deserves.
