So there’s a lot of crime in the city and she replaced the police chief. Sounds like a smart move. She put a black person in that position when the city is majority black. sounds like a smart move

She didn't replace him because he was doing a poor job.

Sounds racist.

If it weren't for Alton Sterling trying to fight and shoot officers, three cops would still be alive today, three others wouldn't be injured (one of which may never recover), the two cops who originally responded could actually live a normal life free of racists trying to kill them, and Dabadie would still be chief. To blame anybody but the criminal pieces of shite for Baton Rouge's problems is absurd.

She will reportedly also talk about current and future projects dealing with education, roads, and building better neighborhoods.
I can predict where these projects will be centered..

Be competent while donating to the homeless.
I think its awesome advice coming from Krista because you know she doesnt donate anything herself. She asks for donations online, often just the money for the gifts and not the gifts themselves, and is reliant on her parents, friends, and family because just the act of living is a burden on her.

I don't mind that she's targeting the blighted areas of town for improvement. The issue I have is that she's trying to have it completely funded through taxes. You can't expect people to pay for your vote farming projects then turn around and call them the enemy (or deprive them of services they disproportionately fund). Her plans are two-fold. Punish St. G folks for trying to incorporate and lock down her voting block with free stuff.

So Alton sterling, who was killed by cops, is to blame for cops being killed months after. Knew you scared of blacks, didn’t know you were scared of ghosts too

Should it not go to the most qualified person and not just because they match the demographics?

In theory, it’s great, but it’s been proven time and time again that giving nice public things to low income and blighted areas isn’t anything but a waste of money.
The people in those parts of town don’t take care of what they have, much less public property. Giving them nice things isn’t going to make the areas nice.

And they left out the most important topic. What kind of food will be on hand before/during/after this meeting?
Posted on 1/2/18 at 1:13 pm to crewdepoo
Iirc, the guy who killed all the cops that day did it because of the cops killed Sterling.

Indirectly he was responsible for the cop’s deaths. Obviously you can’t blame him for the cop deaths, but his resisting arrest and death did set in motion a chain of events that led to the cops being shot.

I dare say that the majority of the people who post on this site could care less about the new police chief’s skin color, as long as he was the best candidate and will do a good job.

You're proving your stupidity. Alton was killed because he tried to pull a weapon and shoot the cops. Gavin Long killed cops in Baton Rouge less than two weeks after Alton was killed. Gavin's entire reason for coming here was to take out cops to "force good cops to hold the bad ones accountable" and to seek "justice" for Alton.

I completely agree. The one that really irks me is the "school improvement" nonsense as if the badass kids with bad parents will improve if only we build them a state of the art facility and hire the best teachers. Their only hope is a charter school system that offers programs that weed out the bad apples preventing others from learning. The current school system is bad for all students. If they can weed out the trouble makers, it gives better opportunity for the ones that have potential. Saving 30% is far better than what they have now.

Nobody but the racist democrats care about his skin color. As usual, though, they project.
