Official Earthquake Insurance Check-in

Most people I've tried to relate the LA flooding to just don't understand why so many didn't have flood insurance.
So, I've tried to explain it by using quake insurance as an analogy. Here in NW Arky, a damaging quake is a possibility, but unlikely. If there was one, how many people would be insured? Gets them thinking.
I have quake insurance, but it's because I'm paranoid as frick and $23 a month buys a ton of peace of mind.
This morning's quake should have a lot of people thinking.
I took the plunge after a smaller quake 2yrs ago had me thinking.

Is it piece of mind or peace of mind?
Seems like the latter makes more sense. I have nothing to contribute to the thread itself.

Don't have it but after feeling the earthquake this am and hearing my house popping as it shook I might consider it.

You can be insured from every kind of flood, quake, wind driven rain, disaster etc.
You might go broke though paying all the premiums.
Good luck.
