Only a few days left before the new year, BR is pitching a shut out!

Wonder when BR will get some variety and have beating and strangling deaths. This is why Florida crime trumps BR crime. And 1 stabbing death since October.

Another One Near North Foster

I wonder why all these shootings happen around the same streets. Really makes you think, huh?

Why did I think Ardenwood instead of Foster? Oh yeah...it is because it is all the same.

That is what I do not get. Let me shoot someone a day before the most special day of the year. Let me frick up his entire family's Christmas and let his children grow up just like he did.

It's all the same shithole area. My mom lived off of South Ardenwood when I was in HS. It was a decent neighborhood but it changes quickly when you cross Florida.

It’s quite strange. Living south of Government has become the hip area again. 15 years ago when my sister lived on the first block off Government headed north it was a little sketchy (I still wouldn’t live there) but when I go to say Elsie’s now, those neighborhoods seem to be good , working class people. I’d still consider the area between Gov and Florida to be a “buffer zone” and one I wouldn’t want to live in, but then when you get north of Florida, it’s a 3rd world country.

My mom lived in the a nice upper middle class area a few blocks south of Florida. A lot of those homes are probably 300-400k now but you had murders going down across the highway.

Fortunately she never had any crime problems in the 6-7 years she lived there though.

These people have no respect for the lives of others so none of that really crosses their mind.

Pretty much.

At best, a lot of this is probably turf wars or drug deals gone wrong.

At worst, it’s bullshite over “disrespect” because someone stepped on someone’s sneakers.

We need new blood as mayor. This is Baton Rouge; not Charlottesville nor Colombia, MO. With or without St. George and LSU, this is NOT a progressive/liberal count city. Broome needs to have her large arse kicked out of office by anyone -- I will even take Delgado. BUT we need to give the police force our backing and decripple them.

This city is progressive alright. Progressively worse with more dumbassity and violence by cultural birthright than it should be.

The midtown development folks have done a good job. It would be great to see a reverse creep happen where the nice starts spreading North. It can happen, at least in that area. It would take a minor miracle to fix the places previously mentioned.

Last night's is now a fatality.

Add another shooting. This one off of Millerville. This couldn't be SG eh?

BATON ROUGE - Early this morning, just before 5 a.m. a shooting occurred on Turret Drive, which is a residential area off Millerville Road.

Officials say at least two people were in the home where the incident occurred.

At this time, additional details are limited but will be provided as authorities proceed with their investigation.
