Bought the shark vacuum...that deal was $20 cheaper than Costco and $30 cheaper than WalMart...

Damage so far:
- Fire Stick for guest room
- Shark Vacuum
- Golf shirt

The FireTV's with Kodi sideloaded are so fantastic. No need for cable after you have one of those. After Prime Day, I will have one for every TV in my house.

What can a FireTV stick do for me that my smart TV can't do already?

Can you watch Amazon original content on that?

I have no idea, just asking.

Yep, speaking as an owner of a Samsung smart TV.

Yes, I have the Amazon Prime app on my TV.

I was just genuinely curious. I don't know much about the firestick but have heard a lot about it. If you have a smart TV with apps it seems like it wouldn't provide any value to you, I just want to make sure I'm not missing anything.

You can watch damn near every show on TV with the right add on. On every network.

Question:

My mother in law would love a cheap tablet just for Fox News (lol), Instagram, and maybe a couple other easy to use apps.

Can the cheap Fire Tablet do those things? Do they have apps? Pardon my ignorance.

We have one similar made by radio flyer and it is the shite. Keeps my son contained and he seems to enjoy it, plus takes up less room than the stroller at the beach when you fold it down. gotta to watch out once they learn how to turn it cause they will take someone out in a hurry.

So basically could get rid of cable? Sorry for another question, but I'm a novice.

I only have cable because of sports. I don't watch much TV. Would I be able to watch ESPN, CBS, etc? Also I have Sunday Ticket and NBA League Pass, is there a substitute for that?

I'm not going to just blow $150 on anything to get the credit, but could I just buy a $150 Amazon gift card?

I don't think it would be applicable to gift cards:

Promotional codes (including those placed directly in accounts) may not be redeemed for Amazon.com Gift Cards unless an Amazon.com Gift Card is the stated benefit of the promotion.

It could if you know what you're doing. I don't have cable but u still get every show streamed to me. If you have fast internet with Cox I think ESPN3 is included in it. And you can get subscriptions for those and use the apps. I haven't done enough browsing to be certain about CBS.
