Probably has a lot to do with you always going against the grain. I'm not the only person who's said it about you, not even close. And it's only been recently, I don't remember you being that way in the past.

There is a difference between being a devil's advocate and a contrarian. The former implies someone intentionally does so simply to argue the other side and continue the debate. The latter is someone who finds themselves on the opposite side of public opinion, but doesn't do seek that position intentionally.
If I'm contrarian, so be it, but it isn't done intentionally.

Maybe not, but this place can surprise you sometimes. That thread yesterday about the CNN story on minimum wage was a good example. Once you got past the initial off the cuff remarks trying to get a quick laugh, the debate was pretty solid. Same with the reparations thread today.
