No need to get all defensive, a good pun is hard to execute. I'd say 95% of puns are more corny than clever.

I found it funny, but I've learned you have to follow the "lowest common denominator" rule: Will this thing I contemplate doing offend any person here? If there is some crusading chick or ultra-sensitive lib or bible beater who would be offended, you must refrain, for you own protection. Sure, it makes the work place not as much fun, but at least you sleep at night.
