Should be given a medal. Not treated as a suspect. And what kind of shitty headlines is it?

Don't know. It appears to have been left out of the OP.

Actual headline:
Off-duty Louisiana officer shoots 14-year-old boy in head outside cop's home

How do you have enough information from that article you posted to form any kind of opinion either way?

It was not worth mentioning.

Makes it sound like he shot some kids that were playing outside his house!!

Not enough details there to determine anything.

It’s not going to end well for him if that kid wasn’t armed. It’ll be even worse if it was a white cop and black kid.

No description of either one. So this will go away a lot faster than it came.

The kid was in the driveway pulling on door handles.

The guy shot him in the head from the house.

This won’t end well for the cop

Well the kids were violating the stay at home order, so they can't be fully innocent.

There's hardly any detail in the link at all. Is "noise outside his home near his vehicle" really worth opening fire? Who can even know at this point.

More details from nola.com

quote:

The man was asleep inside his home in the 4800 block of Grammar Avenue when he was roused by noises outside the residence just after 3 a.m., Lopinto said.

The man went outside and discovered several juveniles in his front yard, near his vehicle.
