A) the family (I'm not referring to reproduction, but rather stable "mom/dad/children/dog)
B) the price system
C) The rule of law
I say B, followed closely by C.

C, then B.
Like it or not, there need to be people with power on top to keep the people below in line. In some cases, that means extreme power and little freedom for the people below. In others, it means relatively little power at the top, and huge autonomy for the people at the bottom. It depends almost entirely on the religion, culture and traditions in the region, state or country.

B and C would not form without A.

Without A there would be no real use for B and C.

c.
The price system, a healthy price system, depends heavily on the recognition of property rights.
I think families would become more stable and more important in a society if we got back to a constitutional republic and let the price system work itself out...that is, it would lead to us helping our families and communities directly instead of depending on some bureaucrat to do the work.

Dad invented C to control A. Mom invented B to control dad.

Define "the price system" please. Do you mean the existence of a medium of exchange that can be used to establish prices? Do you mean cash settlement techniques? The ability to barter? A game show featuring Bob Barker?

This is a pretty shitty thread. But nice effort on a Monday morning.
