OT oil baws don't "interview". They get hired directly w/out one. So no, not your people.....baw.

That’s how I’ve gotten most of my previous jobs, and this one is a referral from a friend, so I’m still sticking with a variation of non-family based nepotism like the good ol baws.

Just kidding with you man.

My brother worked offshore for Oceaneering for 2-3 years and before that Chet Morrison for P&A. He enjoyed his time with OC. Good luck in your interview

I understand, we do consulting for them as well as some of their servicers.

Well if everything works out maybe I’ll run across you out on the rigs. I’m pretty easy to spot, my hard hat is half Saints, half LSU and it says “CORK” on the back brim.

You bet. If you're a Hill Country baw, why not go to West Texas?

If you're in inspection, give me your email and I'll put you in touch with someone who can help you bigly. My other brother is a recruiter here in town for inspection

I’m originally from LA, moved to TX in 2012 to start my career in the patch and I’ve been here ever since. I’ve worked in every corner of the state (Permian, Eagleford, Haynesville, and everywhere in between).

I’d like to get back home to LA eventually and I’ve always wanted to work offshore.

That being said, if this falls through, I’d love to get in touch with your guy. I’m assuming you’re talking about pipeline inspection, which I’ve never done, but most companies will give a shot to someone who has a few years of oilfield experience, regardless of what they were doing before. All oilfield work is pretty similar when you get down to it; if you can survive the lifestyle you can usually learn a plethora of different jobs.

All kinds. Mostly for the refineries but they also deal with the offshore guys.

I interviewed a while back in Morgan City. Wasn't qualified for it though, but the interview was really relaxed. Just like talking to someone normally. No HR questions or anything

I've been working for them for 6 years now. I haven't worked out of the Houston office though. How did the interview go? Are you applying with Asset Integrity?

The interview went well I think; it was very relaxed and laid back, like talking to a friend I’ve know for years.

It’s not Asset Integrity, it’s Ops. If you want to email me I’ll let you know who I interviewed with.

They’re looking to fill 7 positions and so far he’s interviewed 13 guys, so I think that makes my chances pretty good. They said they’ll have an answer after the holidays, a couple weeks or so.
