Word is it was a drug deal and the buyers didn't want to pay.

If dindu's have taken over a town like Oak Grove there's no hope for Louisiana.

Sucks for sure, but hard to have sympathy for either side. Both were doing something they shouldnt, and the probability of a negative reaction is high. The "good family" kids weren't just walking on the sidewalk minding their own business.

These "good kids" parents need to look themselves in the mirror, and understand they are to blame just as much. As my dad essentially told me when I was a child "Son you represent me out in that world, so I will whip your arse all that it takes to make sure you rep well"

Parents need to get into their kids grills making sure they understand/review proper cause/effect rules. But hey soon enough we'll have legal weed to make this allll better, and go away...

Really dude? These were kids. Kids do stupid shite all the time. I guess you are the exception and never did anything in your teens or 20’s that you look back now and wonder WTF was I thinking. Divine intervention is the only reason most of us, especially males, ever make it to 30.

I gotta disagree. Wanting to do drugs, while illegal, is not an invitation to needing to get shot. Better judgement is needed, but then again i used to smoke weed. I came across a handful of shady folks and shady interactions before I quit. I though i was cool and "hard"

Looking back I was an idiot who used bad judgement. But im certainly glad i never got shot, though.

serious question, do you dopers use hand signals or something? how do you know who is a fellow doper and/or how to spot someone that might want to imbibe with you or provide drugs to you? seems like no matter where you go, if there's someone in the crowd that wants pot, they can immediately score, what's up with that?

There seems to be this stereotype that it’s primarily blacks and lower class whites that smoke weed. I no longer smoke but did regularly a long time ago before it was legal anywhere in this country. There were a lot of people back then that smoked weed that you never would have imagined. I would bet there are even more today who smoke that don’t fit the stereotype because it’s legal in a handful of states and not frowned upon by society as a whole like it was back then.

My office is just off Main Street in a town not unlike Oak Grove. I can look out my window and see vagabonds wandering aimlessly.

Oak grove isn’t like that. It’s doing far better than most of these little Delta towns. This is a freak thing for that community.
