Sabi do you do kneeling cable crunches? Those and a few machines are the only weighted ab exercises I do. Also try toes to bar and dragon flags. The dragon flags are extremely difficult unless you have a ton of abdominal strength.

I don't do kneeling cable crunches but I'm thinking about doing them.

Give them a shot. I might not be the reason but after adding them to my routine I started noticing a little more thickness to my abs.

Since you requested me...

Monday - using tricep rope, full extension crunches from on your knees. 60 reps
Tuesday - no weight straight leg lifts. 100 reps
Thursday - ab/crunch machine at gym with weights. 60 reps
Friday - repeat one from the previous day. 100 reps
**flexing abs every single rep**

Getting abs is only as good as the diet you are following.
Doing ab exercises will grow/tighten your abs, but if you don't diet and/or have too much fat in the way, you won't see them

Head to a cable machine, move the setting to near the floor, either set up weights or have a friend hold your feet while you are positioned perpendicular to the cable.

Pull cable out to your chest and do a set of 20-25 sit ups with that constant tension on you as you do it. Switch sides and do the opposite obliques.

Whole purpose is to have the tension on your abs while doing your sit ups

Lots of good stuff in here. I'm going to type all this stuff out and make a damn good sheet.

My suggestion:

You can do all the weighted ab exercises and do a million crunches/sit-ups... You would not get the '6-pack' definition in your abs unless you drop your percent body fat to at least 15% men and 25% women.

Dropping your percent body fat requires cardio and diet

Abs are built in the gym
Abs are brought out in the kitchen

To add mass throw some weight on your belly and do decline sit-ups on a bench, or monkey raises on a lat pull down bar where you pull yourself up slowly and midway bend at the knees and raise to your chest.

Heavy deadlifts and squats also build strong abs. I could probably take one of those old cannonball shots to the gut like the Ole black and white clips...this is due to squatting heavy and deadlifting. But I don't have a 6 pack because I eat to get big not lose weight. I put on 15 lbs in 2015 from 187 to 202.most of it muscle.
