It's unreal how much indifference people have towards the misbehavior of the state - especially when they likely label themselves as "small government conservatives". Abusing children in state facilities - how small government of us.

Three children have died by suicide there since 2017

One kid was incarcerated there for setting a roll of toilet paper on fire in the bathroom at his school. All the violent criminals roaming our streets, and we send a kid to a prison so bad he rather be dead than live another day. All because of a stupid prank.

Several Louisiana news outlets have been reporting on the incompetence and illegalities at Ware for years. The NYT shouldn’t get all the credit for uncovering these abuses.

Thats the good thing about being a Christian. You can commit all the crimes and sins you want and you will be forgiven.

Yep. Religion of convenience, not principle. But they're all that way.

Hey, this kid should have known what happens if you do a stupid school prank - you get sent to a rural hellhole to be sexually abused by the staff. No biggie.

Dude, these kids certainly shouldn’t be abused in a juvenile detention facility. But you’re acting like they’re just little innocent cherubs who made aN honest mistake. These evil little frickers know how to commit crimes- when, where, what to do, how not to get caught. And they damn well known ghetto rules about revenge. They’re perfectly capable of understanding prison- Angola or otherwise- is gonna be rough. Doesn’t mean it should be, but let’s quit acting like these little deviant, criminal shitheads are just innocent little yutes who made one bad decision.

Right. I'm sure that describes all of these children - evil.

Who cares if they aren't "innocent little yutes". That has literally nothing to do with the allegations. Also, do you understand what "children" means?
