$50 says the media will latch on to some legit cop action (in a few days) that involves a minority and spin the frick out of it putting this incident in the distant past.

Yes, they do. The bad thing is that this isn't a black and white thing, but that's how they're going to spin it. Cops get killed everyday. By whites, blacks, Hispanics, etc. and every day a cop may kill a white dude, Hispanic, or black dude. Al Sharpton can eat a dick. I'd seriously like to kick his arse.

well, he was not committing a crime at the time and was being placed under arrest. Most people probably even yourself wouldn't submit right away when you are being arrested and KNOW you didn't do anything.

He had been arrested more than 30 times and was on probation. You don't think based on that alone he should have complied? He was well versed in what he should have done.

I wouldn't pull away if they were trying to search/arrest me.

no they don't

Preliminary statistics released today by the FBI show that 27 law enforcement officers were feloniously killed in the line of duty in 2013, a decrease of more than 44 percent when compared to the 49 officers killed in 2012. By region, 15 officers died as a result of criminal acts that occurred in the South, six officers in the West, four officers in the Midwest, and two in the Northeast.

Stuff like this is why cops are always on edge
That isn't very logical at all. They are far more likely to get killed while driving their cruiser than by a suspect/criminal. Its sad that this happened but this isn't common place at all so they shouldn't be on edge. Insane people will do insane things.

didn't mean it in a literal sense. But they get assaulted, shot at, etc.

He was arrested, just not convicted because there wasn't enough evidence to convict. We will never know what actually happened that night.

CNN and MSNBC both have this story as their headline on their websites, and FOX has it as their 4th story. Not really sure why people are acting like this story is being buried or spun.

No wonder they're on edge. Can you imagine how terrifying it must be to never be sure if you're going to make it home that night? No wonder they shoot people on a whim now. Better to be safe than sorry. These courageous warriors truly do the most dangerous job in the world. But hey, someone's gotta do the Lord's work.

2012- 126 deaths in the line of duty
2013- 105
2104- 113 gun fire deaths up 59%.

Assaults are way up also. We win most encounters with violent offenders.

Assaults on officers is way up over previous years. We win most of these encounters by staying vigilant on calls. A California officer was assaulted on a traffic accident with a machete, a Texas officer was assaulted by a crowd at a party and a Florida officer was killed responding to a noise complaint all in the last 24 hours. That is only the ones we have heard about.

He wasn't saying they are gonna bury it, he was saying they will contrive another tragedy for ratings and clicks. At least that is what I got from it.
