quote:
New York City officials declared a climate emergency in an effort to mobilize local and national responses to stall global warming.
It's the largest city in the US, with over 8.62 million inhabitants.
The New York City Council passed the legislation Wednesday, calling for an immediate response to the global climate crises. The bill referenced several reports on the state of global warming and its impact, imparting that extreme weather events brought about by rising temperatures demonstrates that the planet is "too hot to be a safe environment."

Tell that to China and India. And Los Angeles and San Francisco. For such enlightened places, they fricking suck at being eco friendly.

They need Margot Ore up there to help push it.

It's an effort to get more federal money

I wonder what is worse, living in LA or living in NYC?

They mean tax, right?
Cause only money can fix this problem

“All we need is a little more of your money and we will defeat the sun monster!”

I'm not sure if they believe the problem as much as they believe the solution which, of course, means that gov't has to nationalize portions of the economy to "save us". At the end of the day, it's all about power and control.

And not a single thing changed about life here.
Eventually you will realize not everything the politicians say is true or will even affect you.

Nothing.
Well other than getting the OT to take pot shots at NYC of course.
