Free association is one of the basic hallmarks of American society. It speaks directly back to our founding fathers.

Forced union membership is bullshite.

But voluntary organization is something that all conservatives should support.

Neo-cons are brainwashed that business is good and individual is bad.

They don't give a frick about the middle class or the individual. They think their 7% return is more important than their 15% benefits increase.

Unions aren’t a conservative concept a free market/society says if you don’t like it, go elsewhere or adapt. Don’t understand the neocon part of your post in relation to topic.

Momentoftruth also tries to cite how it would affect his Healthcare when his care is free and subsidized 100% by the taxpayer using the VA. He should opt out and do the right thing, which is to get off the government tit...

Unions as they operate today because of corporate HRs? Agree with you.

Corporations have fricked themselves with crippling HRs that do harm to everyone but themselves.

And you can get a BSN a year after completion of nursing program at a community college. It’s literally taking gen eds above a 200 level.

Absolutely no way a union hand starts a job without knowing it can be completed without a break.

If it is work until completion that is after the 8 and on doubletime.

A free market allows for free association without restrictions.

That is very much an adaptation.

Curious. What is your definition of a graduate degree?

Nevermind, see it wasn't you that said that.

So many of you guys don’t realize that many of nurses’ complaints are not about the money, but about the cost cutting that hospitals do that affects patient and staff safety.
There is no way to provide safe and effective care for patients with the staffing models that most corporate owned hospitals impose. And then when bad things happen, because ancillary staff cannot be supervised adequately or there is not enough qualified staff, guess who the scapegoat is….the registered nurse. As an RN hospital supervisor, I can assure you that all levels of nursing staff are asked to do more than is safely possible. And I have witnessed this at many hospitals across the country. My sick family members are never left alone in a hospital without another family member as an advocate. Something has to change and the answer is not socialized medicine.

GI Bill and I also have my own healthcare in addition to my VA. You could have done the same thing military service isn’t for everyone though.

but about the cost cutting that hospitals

Like forcing a nurse to take a vacation day because they didn't have a census to keep the nurse for the night scheduled weeks in advance.

Hospitals being ok with paying their inflated boards less would be a start.

If you owned a business do you want employees demanding shite then having leverage over you? Healthcare economics is a bit different of a beast but my post was in general relation to businesses and unions.

I have a friend that lives in Dallas who is high in hospital admininistration. Lives in a $3mm house with $2mm in cars in the garage but nurses wanting to have better working conditions is the problem?
