So they're trying a new version of enhanced oil recovery, which has been a technique used for decades to increase production from existing/older wells.

Direct capture this time around instead of a different CO2 source, such as a truck in this diagram.

If we can agree than pumping CO2 into the atmosphere with no limits is a bad idea, then can we not also agree that sucking it out of the atmosphere would also be a bad idea? Have we determined what the correct level of CO2 is? Who's monitoring this? Who's controlling the levels?

Ah the shifting of the goal posts.

This proves it’s not about climate at all. They just hate the oil industry and want to destroy it. It makes them mad when oil companies outsmart them and keep operating while accomplishing climate goals. They are only happy when oil companies go bankrupt

The magical "they" lol there are plenty of people that do support these recapture plans. Which is why they get subsidies

Nothing on the article about how effective it is, or how viable scaling up would be

There’s segments of the very long article that go into some of that. I just didn’t want to put off the Chicken and post the whole thing, so I just went with the prolog oil vs shut everything down aspects that surround the carbon sequestration/capture debate.

The reason all of these climate activists don’t want a real solution is because then they’d be out of a job. Their livelihood depends on keeping a manufactured crisis ongoing
