All I know is they had a reason the fire was started while the building was still smoldering. They had to say it was an "accident", because everyone already knew what it was. There were more than 2000 cases of vandalism, theft, and arson against French churches in 2017 and 2018 perpetrated by Muslims.

I believe the spire was put up in the previous major renovation from the 1850's, but I think in this case, rebuild and restore to how it appeared in the late 19th century rather than the 14th century.

You can disagree that Muslims will be the French majority by 2050, but it’s not a crazy assertion. At least one researcher predicts this.

Even if they don’t achieve majority status, they’ll undoubtedly be close to it due to immigration and birth rates.
And of course no one knows if Notre Dame will ever he turned into a mosque, but if you have a passing familiarity with history then you’d understand it’s not out of the question.
