I love all these 80s flashbacks. I am starting to show my age when i say things were much simpler then. The 80s itself turned out to be an iconic decade that doesn't come around too often. I would love to be able to relive my childhood and go back in time.
Yea me too. I graduated high school in 85 so I was living the dream in the 80's.

riding my bike from my grandma's house over to the Broadmoore theater for a matinee. My brothers and I would also stop at the bookstore in the same shopping center for comic books and the used video game store to hunt for SEGA Genesis games. Sometimes we'd pick up Pancho's and bring it back to grandma's for dinner and some times my grandma would cook us fried chicken (but only if it was a special occasion). It's sad thinking that none of that exists anymore. All of those stores and restaurants are closed, grandma lives in a nursing home now with alzeimers so she doesn't know how to cook anymore. And I can never keep two genesis controllers working at the same time

I stuffed myself plenty back in the day. Not really sure if it is still open in Metairie. Since i stay out on the northshore, and rarely go to the south shore. But that dam place brings memories back. Remember raising the flag plenty of times to have the waitress bring back more food.
Oh and the sopapillas with that syrup you pour on it!!
